It’s pretty common to use cannabis for the loosening of neural pathways we’re stuck within. But how exactly does it work? Senior Savvy Cannabis dives into the science behind it, and it’s pretty fascinating.

Basically, cannabis does three things in tandem to your brain. It boosts dopamine, lowers self-doubt, and activates the prefrontal cortex which allows it to make more interesting decisions. Dopamine controls mood and motivation, so when it’s enhanced we can channel our energy towards better goals.

Another area of discussion is the pairing of cannabis with exercise, in particular walking. Walking activates the Default Mode Network, allowing more out of the box thoughts to come through, along with Central pattern Generators, or CPGs which free space in your brain for more complex thoughts.

Walking paired with cannabis really is the holy combo of creation. Of course, this all varies by the strain used, so find your ideal combo and go from there.
