Over last weekend, the dispensary in West Hollywood known as The Woods was broken into by a group of hooded figures smashing the front window.
It took place early Saturday morning before anyone was there, and the perpetrators ended up stealing a good amount of marijuana products.
Dispensaries have a higher changes of burglary due to their inability to use common banking systems in the US. There is an understanding that much of their cash is stored on-site, even if that doesn’t end up being the case for some businesses.
The CEO of Catalyst, a dispensary chain, chimed in on Instagram, saying “Back-to-back robberies, shots fired, just another weekend in LA. Does nobody care about the people trying to build something up and they seem to only care about those trying to destroy? Make it make sense. Please bring back some common sense.”

The silver lining of all of this could be that a burglary happening to a high profile business like The Woods could bring more attention to the need for a common sense federal banking bill.
