If you’re terminally ill in Washington, you’ll now be allowed medical marijuana to help ease the pain.
A State Senate committee has approved the bill after going through the House. Starting January 1st, 2027, this would mandate hospitals to offer medical marijuana for patients determined terminally ill in any way besides smoking.
The bill isn’t all the way through the Senate just yet. It needs to pass through the Senate Rules Committee before it goes to the full floor. Then, it will have to be signed by Governor Bob Ferguson. However, in a state like Washington, it’s likely this will pass through without many hiccups.
