Snoop Dogg took a break from the music studio to join the TODAY Show on Thursday as a guest meteorologist, bringing his signature humor and cannabis culture to the weather forecast. Famed weatherman Al Roker invited Snoop to take viewers through a personalized map featuring real U.S. towns with seemingly marijuana-inspired names, including places like Weed, California; Tokeland, Washington; High Point, North Carolina; and Pottsville, Pennsylvania.

As he stepped up to the green screen, Snoop enthusiastically pointed to various cities, kicking things off with Mary Jane Falls, Nevada. “It’s gonna be 57 degrees out there in Mary Jane Falls,” he said, grinning. He then made his way across the map, sharing that it would be “56 degrees in Stoner, Colorado” and even added, “My favorite is when it’s nice, hot and misty outside—84 degrees in Blunt, South Dakota.”

Snoop continued his tour, using his own style to keep viewers entertained. “Sliding on down here, above the average highs, 70 degrees in Roach, Missouri,” he shared. “And over here, we stay lucky in Kentucky. It’s gonna be 60 as we blaze in Blaze, Kentucky, ya dig?” Wrapping things up, he smiled and pointed to “Pottsville, Pennsylvania” and “High Point, North Carolina,” both forecasted for mild 60-degree weather.

Beyond this lighthearted appearance, Snoop has had a busy 2024, merging his passion for marijuana with both business and pop culture initiatives. In July, he carried the Olympic torch, commentated for NBC’s games coverage, and launched a cannabis coffeehouse in Amsterdam, just weeks after opening his flagship store in Los Angeles.

Snoop’s deep roots in cannabis culture are widely recognized. Last year, Jimmy Kimmel even dubbed his birthday, October 20, the “new high holiday” of DoggFather’s Day. While he’s famous for his cannabis lifestyle, Snoop has also championed reforms, advocating for leniency in the NBA’s cannabis policies and emphasizing marijuana’s potential as a safer alternative to opioids.

From music to media, and now the weather, Snoop Dogg continues to find new ways to bring his charisma—and cannabis culture—to his fans.
